Shares in Tasty PLC fell on Wednesday after the company reported a widened 2020 pretax loss after booking higher costs and lower revenue.
Shares at 0705 GMT were down 1.25 pence, or 20%, at 4.75 pence.
The U.K. restaurant operator said that for the year ended Dec. 27, pretax loss was 12.6 million pounds ($17.4 million) compared with a loss of GBP266,000 for 2019.
Revenue fell to GBP24.2 million from GBP44.6 million the year before. The company said this was due to the significant effect of the restrictions stemming from the coronavirus pandemic.
“Trading outside of lockdown has been encouraging, and we look forward to a promising period after the current lockdown ends. In the coming months, we expect to be able to assess the opportunities available in the post Covid-19 world,” the company said.
